The Suds Report For GL 2007

What went right: The 70th anniversary special on soap creator Irna Phillips; Tammy's death; Tom Pelphrey's (Jonathan) exit and many visits; Reva and Jeffrey's surprise super-coupling.

What went wrong: Plot-driven writing; uninspired romantic pairings; Cyrus; Josh and Cassie; Special Wednesday episodes; new opening montage; the Find Your Light campaign is admirable - but at what cost? Build your show first.

MVP: Kim Zimmer actually looked like she had fun this year! Who knew?
