| Kim Zimmer expertly shifted moods as Reva held her emotions in check while trying to keep her family from splintering.
Zimmer was nonchalant as Reva poured pitchers of beer before Josh's party, but Jeffrey changed Reva's tune with news that Will was free. "We're definitely going to need more beer," Zimmer deadpanned. Then, as Reva floated her idea to take in Will, she gave Jeffrey a lascivious wink and smirk to assure him Will wouldn't cramp their style. When Cassie picked a fight over Will, Zimmer's voice rose steadily as Reva quickly lost patience. "We are from the same family, Cassie!" she howled, throwing up her hands. Then Zimmer huffed and scattered Scrabble tiles in frustration. After reading Jon's farewell letter, Reva timidly handed it to Josh. "I have to find him," she choked. Zimmer's wounded eyes brimmed with tears as she stifled sobs. Bill's warning that Alan was setting up Jonathan brought Reva roaring back - her eyes blazed as Reva recognized the Tourmaline threat. Hot on Jon's trail, she found an abandoned doll and hugged it like a lost child, Zimmer still fighting tears. She regarded Josh and the toy with a blend of open-mouthed shock, fearful eyes and even a hint of an affectionate smile. "If I could have just seen them one last time," she sighed. She got her wish when she spotted Jon's car, Zimmer mustered up a tentative wave before tearing up, finally reaching out to Josh for support - and collapsing. By keeping her reactions subtle, Zimmer perfectly supported the heavy drama of the story. She's a pro. |
